Gateway Stream Media has confirmed that preparations for the upcoming NUBIAN NOTES – A Celebration of Women in Music concert are now complete, with all groundwork in place ahead of the event scheduled for 8 November 2025 at the Harare International Convention Centre (HICC). The concert is being organised in collaboration with ZAR Events and is set to make history as Zimbabwe’s largest all-female music celebration under the theme, “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound.”
The organisers emphasize that this event is not just a musical showcase but a cultural milestone in honour of womanhood, creativity, and the evolving soundscape of Zimbabwean music. Featuring a powerhouse lineup that includes Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts, the night promises to be a vibrant tribute to female artistry and strength.
However, the organisers are keen to point out that this celebration goes beyond entertainment. Gateway Stream Media is positioning the concert as part of a broader mission to empower local artists and build sustainable platforms for creative expression. They stress that inclusive cultural development must be backed by real opportunities for visibility, collaboration, and economic participation.
Gateway Stream Media Manager, Mr. Elton Kurima, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to the local music industry, stating that NUBIAN NOTES reflects their vision of nurturing talent and creating spaces where artists of all backgrounds — particularly women — can thrive.
In addition, the event will include prominent media personalities such as Becky K (Capitalk) and KVG (StarFM) as hosts, with DJ Yahya Goodvibes providing the night’s musical backdrop. ZAR Events founder Connie Mazani has assured fans of a night filled with electrifying performances and immersive experiences that celebrate unity, diversity, and creativity.
The organisers remain committed to delivering a high-quality experience that honours the strength, voice, and vibrancy of Zimbabwean women in music. They invite the public to participate in what promises to be a landmark event in the country’s entertainment calendar.
