Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG), in partnership with Heritage Expeditions Africa (HEXA), has unveiled a range of curriculum-based school travel packages aimed at transforming educational trips into structured learning experiences.

The packages, set for 2026, are designed to combine classroom learning with travel, offering pupils immersive exposure to Zimbabwe’s cultural, historical and natural heritage. According to the organisers, the tours are tailored to promote experiential learning, critical thinking and teamwork among students.

”From heritage landmarks and national monuments to wildlife sanctuaries and geological wonders, each itinerary balances academic value with adventure, ensuring students gain practical insight, broadened perspective and lasting memories. With organised transport, guided activities and meal plans, schools can expect a seamless, well-coordinated travel experience that prioritises both educational depth and student safety,

From the capital city to the country’s heritage heartlands and iconic resort towns, these structured educational journeys position learning beyond the classroom, practical, experiential and unforgettable,” reads the statement.

HEXA said the programmes convert destinations into “living classrooms” by integrating guided educational activities with exploration. The packages include organised transport, accommodation, meals and curated site visits, with a focus on safety and structured learning outcomes.

Several destinations across the country are covered under the initiative, including Harare, Victoria Falls, Kariba, Bulawayo, Nyanga and Masvingo.

In Harare, a two-night, three-day package priced at US$150 per student includes visits to key national institutions such as National Heroes Acre, the National Museum of Zimbabwe and the New Parliament of Zimbabwe, alongside a city tour.

The Victoria Falls package, priced at US$320 per student for three nights, includes a tour of the falls, a sunset cruise, and visits to a crocodile farm and the Big Tree, among other activities.

Other packages include Kariba at US$175 per student, featuring a dam wall tour and lake cruise; Bulawayo/Matobo at US$210, with visits to the Matobo National Park and the Khami Ruins; Nyanga at US$200, focusing on natural attractions and historical sites; and Masvingo at US$150, including a guided tour of the Great Zimbabwe National Monument.

The organisers said the packages are intended to offer schools a seamless travel experience while extending learning beyond the classroom through practical engagement.

The initiative is subject to availability, with standard terms and conditions applying.
